THE PROBLEM
Adults get more lines across their foreheads as they age because they produce less collagen and elastin, the proteins that give skin its structure and flexibility, over time. The frontalis muscles in the forehead compound this issue by creasing the skin every time men frown, raise an eyebrow, or otherwise emote. Expression lines usually begin to develop between the ages of 20 and 30, but learning how to prevent lines early on can significantly delay their development.
THE BOTOX TREATMENT
The treatment takes about 15 minutes and the pain is minimal with a small ‘bee-sting’ like swelling subsiding within minutes. Within 36-48 hours the wrinkle treatments or fillers start to work, with full results becoming apparent after about 2 weeks.
Please note: a topical anesthetic is applied to the area throughout the treatment to ensure you are in as little pain as possible.
